Did you know that…

The lymphatic system is the most underrated part of the circulatory system in the human body? Functions of this system include the absorption of excess fluid anywhere in the body and its return to the blood stream, the absorption of trapped toxins in the fat cells (cellulite), and critical support for the body’s immune system. Unlike our blood, lymphatic fluid does not use the heart as a pump. Lymph transport (or drainage) primarily depends upon the contraction of skeletal muscles—thus the importance of exercise. A body which is not moving will begin to stagnate in more ways than one!

Sadly many health-care practitioners rarely consider the critical role lymph plays in preventing sickness and keeping us healthy. This is a problem for all of us.The lymphatic system is a central component of the immune system and protects the body by draining and filtering out waste.

I want to repeat the lymphatic system plays an underestimated role in the health of our bodies.

Functions of this system include the absorption of excess fluid anywhere in the body and its return to the blood stream, the absorption of trapped toxins in the fat cells (cellulite), and critical support for the body’s immune system.

Your lymphatic system is a vital circulatory system with an extensive network of vessels throughout the body. It contains over 600 “collection sites” called lymph nodes. The body contains three times more lymph than blood. Lymph must be pumped by the movement of our muscles. The less we move, the more stagnant and blocked the system becomes. Many experts believe that a lazy lymphatic system is directly connected to the formation of cellulite because backed up fluids adhere to fat cells. Cellulite is primarily blocked lymphatic fluid.

What is Electro-Lymphatic drainage? How does it work?

The Lymph Drainage XP2, is a revolutionary state of the art, safe and effective electronic -lymphatic drainage instrumentation. Each session is equivalent to eight to ten manual lymphatic drainage sessions. The Lymph Drainage XP2 leaves the client with NONE of the soreness that could result with manual lymphatic massage.

The Lymph Drainage XP2 is a vibrational energy technology. As such it emits "information" to the energy field of the cells via harmonics of sound and frequencies of light. It produces this information by way of something called "noble gas ionization." There is a long tradition of research into the energetic effects of these noble gases. An optimal mixture of xenon, argon, and krypton is enclosed in Pyrex glass tube. The gases are excited by electrical current. While the client lies comfortably on a massage table, the Lymph Drainage XP2 is applied by placing the transmission head, or heads on the body and gently moving them over the skin. An energy field, or plasma, then radiates from the tube onto the skin and is conducted through the entire bio-energy system. Proteins are re-polarized causing retained fluid and congested areas to FLOW. Stagnation is reversed and the lymph system is now free to perform its cleansing functions! Detoxifying and enhancing immunity leaves the client feeling calm and rejuvenated.

Moving the lymph: Electro-Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (ELDT)

is an efficient, effective, and non-invasive method to reduce inflammation by moving the lymphatic fluid through your body—whether you have lymphedema from pathological diseases, common edema, or a general sluggishness from inactivity or diet, moving the lymph through your body is essential to good health.

Cancer Survivors: (ELDT) is particularly effective for cancer survivors, as using this therapy can reduce or eliminate the need to wear uncomfortable compression sleeves or suits. It can also reduce the pain from inflammation and assist in the removal of chemical toxicity from medications and therapies at a cellular level.

Prevention: (ELDT) has been proven beneficial for the prevention of breast and prostate problems. It can also be used for pre- or post-athletic activities to increase performance and decrease muscle and tendon strain.

Breast Care: (ELDT) is very effective when used for breast care, whether preventative or after a mastectomy as reconstruction support. It can reduce pain and inflammation and assist in recovery when used as an integral part of a breast cancer survivor’s treatment plan. As stated above, using Electro-Lymphatic Drainage Therapy can reduce or eliminate the need to wear uncomfortable compression sleeves or suits.

Our process: In (ELDT) we use state-of-the-art technology in a safe and pain-free way to relieve lymphatic congestion and remove toxins from the body. We focus a photon beam at the affected tissues which creates a wave action in the lymph vessels and removes the obstruction—similar to dropping a pebble into still water. The result is a significant reduction in pain due to lymphatic swelling.

Electro-Lymphatic Drainage Therapy is an accelerated method of detoxifying lymphatic fluid—equivalent to 8-10 manual lymph massages.

The good news is that lymphatic health can be restored, even in cases of severe impairment.

Benefits:

  • Improves edema, fibrocystic conditions, post surgical swelling and swollen lymph nodes.
  • Better flow to the system and drainage of tissue.
  • Reduces systems of Chronic Fatigue syndrome and Fibromyalgia.
  • Detoxifies body tissues.
  • Regenerates tissue, including burns, radiation burns, scars, stretch marks, post surgical scars.

Background - The Lymphatic System

The lymphatic system is a complicated network of vessels, ducts, and nodes that moves fluid between the cells and tissues, and produces and distributes the infection fighting and scavenging cells of the body. It feeds literally every tissue and organ. Though less well known than the blood circulation, it is truly another circulatory system that complements and feeds the blood. It is the TRANSPORTATION highway for the immune and repair functions of the body! When functioning properly it effectively cleanses the tissues, aids in cellular repair, and eliminates toxins. We call it "the information highway" of the immune system, creating vitality, beauty, and preventing illness.

As a circulatory system, optimal flow must be maintained within the lymphatic system. Unlike the blood, whose circulation is driven by the pumping of the heart, the lymph does not have its own pump. It is propelled by three means: the movement of muscles, the nerves which create subtle pulsations, and the fluid pressure within the system. Lymph fluid is cleansed by the liver, kidneys, and heart. It eliminates its toxic load through the elimination channels of the body - urine, bowel, skin, and lungs.
If conditions lead to sluggish lymph flow, fluid can concentrate in specific areas (edema), or impaired function along the entire lymph system can result (congestion). When this state of congestion is long lasting, blockages can form and cause a backup in the flow of lymphatic fluid. Consequently, toxic cellular waste cannot effectively be released from the body as a whole or from specific areas such as injury sites. Thus, the immune system may not function at its optimum. Other consequences of congestion are weight gain, diminished appearance and premature aging, such as skin breakouts, facial edema, dark circles, dry, wrinkled or sallow looking skin, spider veins, and cellulite.

What are the causes of lymphatic congestion?

  • Injuries
  • Emotional/Stress States
  • Hormone Imbalances
  • Infections
  • Scar tissue and adhesions
  • Surgery
  • Environmental Toxins
  • Poor Diet
  • Colds, Flu, Sinus Problems
  • Edema and Excess Water Retention
  • Fibrocystic and Tender Breasts
  • Enlarged Prostate
  • Unexplained Lumps and Bumps
  • Tight fitting clothing
  • Heavy Metals
  • Normal Aging Processes
  • Inactivity
  • Poor Circulation
  • Cancer
  • Stiffness and /or Pain
  • Heart Disease
  • Cellulite

It becomes evident how poor lymphatic drainage can contribute to a wide range of dysfunction and lack of vitality. What can be done to remedy the situation?

The Treatment of Lymphatic Problems

A therapeutic technique known as manual lymph drainage (MLD)* was developed in Europe over a decade ago. Through delicate and very specific massaging techniques it proved effective at reducing lymph-based disorders. It appeared to maximize cellular repair functions by amplifying the detoxification process within the tissue fed by the lymph. However, this manual therapy is tedious to perform, time intensive, and requires extensive training and experience to administer correctly. Researchers in the health field have discovered a tool that can assist and amplify the effects of manual lymph drainage, reducing the time and complexity of the therapy. The tool is an electronic massage device called the Lymph Drainage XP2 Lymphatic Therapy Instrument.

The massage is administered considering the following:
- the direction of the lymph vessels
- the location of the lymph nodes
- the direction of the lymph flow

Lymphatic therapists who tried the Lymph Drainage XP2 immediately noted that it could be up to eight times faster at relieving edema and congestion than MLD alone! It is now available to health professionals and to home users who are trained in its use by therapists. This exceptional instrument and corresponding de-congestive therapy technique have been tested successfully in massage therapy, as well as by physical therapists, lymphatic therapists, and others. Spas and estheticians are discovering the powerful effects of lymphatic therapy for enhancing relaxation, detoxification, cellulite therapy, and facial work.
